The goal of the Gold Country Disc Golf Association is to promote the sport of disc golf through education and outreach, hosted club weeklies, clinics, club events, fundraisers and PDGA tournaments. The club works cooperatively with the City of Grass Valley and Western Gateway Part & Recreation in Penn Valley to maintain and improve two of Northern California's best courses, the Squirrel Creek Disc Golf Course at Condon Park in Grass Valley and Hanging Oak Disc Golf Course at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley. We also promote and support courses like Toney’s Mountain Golf,  and Hammond Grove while embracing regional players and private courses that may wish to utilize the club’s resources, services and/or promotional abilities.

Membership fees collected are utilized by the club for club activities, expenses, and course maintenance/improvements.
